Darkness

I remember it all, just a normal day turned into hell. I guess I can tell you what happened back when it started. I was a normal eighteen year old kid, blonde hair, blue eyes, nice body, green shirt, and blue pants. I was just shining my motocycle the Sand Storm, a bike that has the color of the deserts and slick built for speed. The sun was high in the skies, I said, “Renick you did a fine job.” I wasn’t really talking to anyone, so I got on and revved it that’s when I heard it.

A Helicopter was flying towards me, I thought ’Huh? What is that doing out here?’ It looked like an army one and it was. Once it got in rang it fired at me, I put the pedal to the metal outrunning it. It kept firing at me, I didn’t know why so I did what I always did drive. Even though I was outrunning it the gun fire kept getting closer. I didn’t notice but I drove into a min field without setting any off, but the helicopter did. I didn’t know a first but I was bleeding badly, then I hear an explosion it caused me to go deaf and numb. Before I went numb I felt massive amount of heat and pain, then I was laying on the ground the light slowly fading from my view. My last sight were black figures that looked like men, then it all went dark.

I don’t know how long I was out but when I opened my eyes again there was a bright light overhead, it was cold, and I could barely see blue figures moving about around me. I could barely see and couldn’t hear, but I could feel pain. I felt things stuck into me, I struggled but could hardly move before I just laid there staring at the blurred light. I noticed a black figure start to block out the light looking at me and I felt like I was fading.

My eyes closed, but before I passed out I could hear the words, “He is the weapon.” When I opened my eyes again everything was still blurred but bluish green. I could feel these things attached to me something over my mouth, floating in water and seeing something at something looking at me. I blacked out again, this time I heard a voice in my head it sounded sinister and changed in pitch. It said, “Don’t worry Renick, you aren’t……..alone.” It said alone in a deep and creepy voice then I passed out.

I woke up on a cold, damp floor. There was a bright light over my head, it hurt and there was darkness all around me. I couldn’t see through the darkness, I couldn’t move, I felt weak, I felt pain. I tried to call for help but the words didn’t come out so I struggled to no a vile. I just laid there, waiting and listening to the voice that came from the darkness saying, “Come to me………………Embrace me……………….Come to me.” It just kept saying that over and over, then there was a click causing the voice to disappear. I pass out again, but before I did there was a bright light.

I woke up in that place with the bright light over head and my body being held down. I could barely see but could hear. There were many figures moving around me, then that voice comes back and says, “Help me.” I look about just to keep hearing the same thing, it starts to annoy me so a yell, “WHO ARE YOU?! WHERE ARE YOU?! SHOW YOURSELF!!!!” I struggle like mad screaming and could hear one of the figures saying, “He can hear it! He can hear it! Quickly!” I keep struggling and screaming louder hearing them talk about something on my chest growing.

The lights flicker as I scream, then I hear screaming and I calm down. The light was dim now, but I was calmer and just laid there breathing heavily. I hear a door open and gasps come from many, but I didn’t know how many there were. I could hear them saying things like they are dead, how did this happen, and It is in dim light with out burning or feeling pain. I had no idea what they were talking about, I looked around and passed out again.

I woke up on that floor again, and listened to the voice repeat itself. I asked, “Who are you?” The voice said, “You.” I just laid there and said nothing to it as it repeated itself. It had stop and I tried to get up. The voice says, “That’s right come to me.” I started to walk to the darkness, but I black out again. It wasn’t long before I woke to find myself on grass. I was outside somehow, it was night and I could see a small town from the hill I was on.

I walked in to town and to an alleyway. I started to feel pain and screamed at the top of my lunges. I heard someone come close, I said to stay away but he just got closer then I black out. When I came too I was standing in the middle of the town, now it looked like a riot or a war had came through. Dead bodies everywhere, fires, broken lights, broken walls, all kinds of hell. I asked myself what happened then that voice says, “We did this.” I quickly turned around and was shocked by what I saw.

A monster, staring at me. It had dark hair that looked like scales long bangs of hair hung down with blades at the end of them, its arms wear dark like darkness covered its ridged arm with claws, it went to its legs that looked the same, its stomach was human with a six pack, its chest had this tattoo looking thing over were the heart is that touched the arms, its face looked like mine just with yellow eyes. It even had these tentacles coming out of its back, and it had a tail. My biggest shock was when I looked around it and saw that monster was me. I slowly backed away then looked myself over to see it was real, I was shaking. I screamed as loud as I could and it started to rain, but I kept screaming like the monster that I was.

I blacked out again, I heard the voice says, “You are mine now.” and it was laughing, then slowly fades away. I came too on that table once again, I just laid there as they seemed to be studying the darkness on my body. I listened as they said they would use me as a weapon, I got mad and just stared at the one who said that, I could see the fear in his eyes. I was getting mad, I looked at the bright light growling then throwing my head up those long bangs of darkness that was apart of my hair slide out from under me and I attacked. I stabbed the light, when I did I felt stronger. I stab one slamming his body against the wall, I spilt the other one in half. I saw the one with fear in his eyes, I stabbed him, slammed him against the wall, to the floor dragged his body about like a rag doll then I cut him into bits with the other and broke the restrains.

I got up, and hold my hands in front of me looking at them. They were shaking, my whole body was shaking like a little child that I started to cry. I fell to the floor and curled up into a ball crying, scared, mad, sad, and happy. It made no sense to me then when I opened my eyes I was in darkness with light over me I looked normal. I notice something lifting in front of me it looked like the side of a head but I could only make out where the eye was. I watch as the eye slowly opens and I hear that voice again saying, “Renick, don’t hesitate don’t be confused………I am here now.” The eye had stopped half way looking like a beasts eye it was yellow. The voice even sounded worried about me, and I took its advice.

I woke back in the room and got up off the floor slowly. I knew I couldn’t hesitate, I couldn’t be confused. All I could do was KILL! So I walked toward the door and slowly opened it, then stuck the light over head. I walk down the hall knocking out the lights as I did and I came to a corner and took out that light, then heard someone say, “What was that”? The voice says, “Wait……….build your power up.” I don’t know how but I was feeling stronger as I stayed then I see these two heads come over my head with teeth and glowing yellow eyes. I watched as the soldier came into the darkness, I was able to see him easily and kill him easily. I had stabbed him and walked around the corner to see the other. So, I walked forward and move the dead body to him. He freaks and shoots, but I use the body as my shield, then break the light over his head and crush his head. I drop the body and walk out the door they were guarding.

I didn’t know what awaited on the other side so I just walked and………….
